White Diamond: A Classic American Diner Experience in Clark, NJ

Pay attention to the hours because this place is not 24 hours open like before covid era. Now they close around 9:45 pm. The service is 5 stars and the staff is that old-school great attendance and eficiency. No place like this one for good quality burgers, bread topped with seeds and fresh ingredients all year around. This business had 16 locations back in the days but today this one is the last remaining open location. Regardless, it keeps its good quality intact and it's a unavoidably stop when you have that quick desire for a juicy burger, either to dine in or to take out.

Great burgers and fries, friend recommended this place and their burgers. Waiter/host was very personable, engaged us throughout the visit. Cook was visible and friendly. Got to sample chili was very good, just the right amount of heat.

Excellent burgers and crispy crinkle cut fries. We had the Jersey burger, Brunch burger, and California burger. All fantastic, make no substitutions, get them as they are. The meal was a great value. Most everything on the menu is between $4 and $7. Very friendly place, you can see they care. It has that classic small diner feel. We will definitely be coming back whenever we are in the area.

In my opinion the best burger I've had in Union County. The food was all very fresh and the service was wonderful. I had a California cheeseburger the lettuce and tomato were nice and crisp and the burger and the roll were amazing. Cheese fries were out of this world and so were the onion rings. I'm already thinking about my next visit since I enjoyed in so much. If you want a great burger with great service this is your place.

On Wednesday, November 5, at around 10 a.m., I went to the Clark White Diamond Diner. At the time we went, there were some parking spots, and we were able to find parking pretty fast. However, I will admit that there are not a lot of spots and that the diner itself is pretty small. I did not consider that to be a bad thing though, because when we went, there were enough spots, and we were seated right when we walked in. If you are going in a bigger group, I suggest going a bit earlier in the morning because there are about five booths. However, we did not have an issue with this. Right when we walked in, we were immediately greeted and seated, and we ordered within minutes of our arrival. The hostess was very friendly and attentive. The food also came out very fast. We ordered a New Jersey burger, a breakfast burger, chili cheese fries, and mac and cheese bites, and the portions were big. It was $27 for everything we got, which I thought was pretty great for the amount we ordered. Almost everything on the menu was around $5-10, so I found it to be very affordable. The majority of the options were breakfast items, fries, hot dogs, and burgers, and I did not see too many other options for specific diets such as gluten-free. We were served in under 10 minutes after ordering, so the wait time was very short. There were a lot of other people there early in the morning, but it was nice seeing how many groups of friends came for breakfast because it seemed like it was their morning tradition. I thought the food tasted great, and it was very filling. I highly recommend the mac and cheese bites (those were my favorite). The diner itself looked very old school, with lots of nice decorations, and I noticed a bunch of pictures dating back to the 1950s, though I am not completely sure. Overall, I thought the food and atmosphere were great, and I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a more old-fashioned diner.

One of the Best lil hamburger joints. Feels like an old rail car greasy spoon type diner, the most important part TASTE is Consistently Very above average. Which is kinda hard to find. The Staff has low turnover and is always friendly I have been there about 3 dozen times in the last 7 years. Very consistent and reliable

Finally stopped by this place and couldn’t have been happier. The crinkle cut fries were perfection and the burger was great. The “large” burger comes on a poppy seed roll but you can swap out for a soft roll, which I would recommend. The poppy seed bun is tasty, but too much bread to patty ratio. Fried onion on the burger were great too. Even the large is on the smaller side so I would get a double or two burgers if you’re hungry, but the prices just can’t be beat. Will 100% be coming back. Warning though that it would be difficult likely to support a group greater than 4 at a table
